A system that removes annoying halftones in scanned images
Everyone who has to deal with high quality reproduction of halftone images.
Halftone is a process to reproduce photographs or other images in which the various tones of grey or color are produced by variously sized dots of ink.
When a document using this process is scanned, a very uncomfortable screening effect may appear.
The system uses a combination of removal of peaks in Fourier image and local Gaussian blur.
